Featuring our new accompanist George Peterson, repertoire includes Harlem Songs by contemporary composer Gwyneth Walker, featuring three poems by Langston Hughes; The Music of Living by contemporary composer Dan Forrest, an exuberant setting of a text teeming with the joy and optimism of life; The Seal Lullaby by contemporary composer Eric Whitacre with text by Rudyard Kipling; and Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace by Roger Q. Holland II, a spirited arrangement of the well-known prayer of St. Francis of Assisi.
